Dear Friend,
It is with heavy heart that I send out this article on the root causes of the present Catholic scandals. However, as never before, I have expectancy in the grace of Christ Jesus that there will be a real awakening to the Gospel out all that has happened. Since we are asking Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, we are boldly praying for a resurrection from the death of sin to the life of righteousness, by the power of Christ’s grace, for many souls. Nothing less than the resurrection of the utterly lost souls of depraved priests from the death of sin to the life of righteousness is my prayer before the Lord.

While this article documents homosexuality among priests as part of the root problem, I know that this is just part of the horrors. Our hearts and prayers also go out to the many girls that have been molested. In the words the Catholic Survivors First WebPage: "Although media coverage of the scandal in the Catholic Church has tended to highlight male victims, girls have also suffered at the hands of predatory priests. The Catholic Church has actively blocked efforts to study this issue, but experts on child molestation generally agree that girls make up one third to one half of all victims of clergy sexual abuse." www.survivorsfirst.org/girls.html

Because we are living at a time when many hearts are broken, and lives shattered, in the compassion of the Lord we must cry out, "Come from the four winds, 0 Breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live!"

There is an inexhaustible fullness of grace and mercy in God that can never run dry. Whatever we may ask in prayer, God is still able to do more, abundantly more, exceedingly abundantly more. In our entreaty to God in the present crisis we should sustain our faith by the fact that He is Almighty, All Sufficient, and Full of Loving Kindness.
